Week Ending 4th March
Monday 27th February
Not too much to report from today's meeting. Moody Mare ran well to finish 2nd in her A3.
Tuesday 28th
Mercurial Lady who has been out of action since finishing lame in the Hall Green leg of the National Intertrack competition returned today with a 29.56 workout.
Lady Lomasi (29.49) and Gortkelly Hudini (29.72) both returned to the graded strength.
Recent arrival, Kelseys Prince, moved well enough in his first sprint to record 16.66. He gave the impression he'd find plenty of time for the look round and flew into the pick up. His Shelbourne Park Novice 750m victory form was franked later in the week when Razldazl Marilyn won impressively on the Wimbledon Sky Card. Prince beat her in the Shelbourne race.
Wednesday 29th
A good night for the kennel with a couple of winners. Fishersmans Leah won very well in her A3. She led around the first and went on to score by 5 1/4 lengths in 29.22.
Bramley Bella ran another game race as she just got up on the line to win her A4 in 29.84.
Effernogue Load and Professor Deejay both ran good races to finish 2nd.
At the vets earlier in the day Mercurial Star was found to have a small shoulder tear and faces a month on the easy list.
Friday 2nd March
Another really good day for the kennel ended with 4 winners.
Ding Hero got the afternoon off to a great start as he won his 509m Open. Ding flew the lids again and had a real buckle upfront with the evergreen Burwood Freddie. We just prevailed by a shd in 30.22. Ding has been in great form and is a hopeful running on Arc finals night.
Ding's kennel mate, Molly The Second, also ran a blinder to get up on the line to win her A2 by a shd in 29.26.
Liscrea Premier disputed the lead for much of the race before staying on well to win her A2 by 1/2 length.
Active Lark flew the lids and made her 8/1 odds look hugely generous as she led all the way for a 3 length victory in her A2. She's recorded a personal best of 28.89 and is a possible runner for the Easter Bunny series coming up.
Saturday 3rd
A terrific night for us as we returned with 4 winners from this evening's meeting.
Come Home Patch started the night off really well with an all the way win in his A8. He needed a confidence boosting run and this would have done him the world of good to get back on the bunny.
We were over the moon to get our first winner for the Robson family tonight with Swift Jades puppy, Ring The Alarm. Suzie as she is known worked really hard to win in only her 2nd ever start as she stayed on very strongly in her A7 in 30.04.
Boozed Aroma led all the way in her first race back from a lengthy lay off. She pinged the lids to win nicely in 29.50.
Sparkem Out ran a great race to win her S2 by 1/2 a length in 42.57. Wiglet has bounced back to form well recently and looked back to somewhere near her best. She's a very game bitch who never knows when she's beaten.
Gemstone Jack made his debut this evening and ran with huge promise to say the least. Jack flopped from the lids and suffered some bad crowding on the first bend which left him in a hopeless position entering the back straight some 12 lengths behind the leaders. He kicked the turbo in approaching the third bend and made a massive amount of ground up to get within a length of the winner to finish 3rd. He looks to get better the further he goes and went well clear in to the drop. A great effort from a hugely exciting puppy.
Tommy The Wheel ran a much improved race to finish 3rd in his A1.

In Other News....
Fancy Collar continues to make good progress as we step up his work ready for a return to racing. Pingu has galloped well and his wrist injury has held up perfectly so far.
Portavoe Lass is in great form at home as she approaches 5 weeks out of season. We are all very much looking forward to her returning to action.
Former kennel star, Superstar Lily, is due a mating anytime now with Dual Derby winner Westmead Hawk. Hopefully everything will all work out well and we can look forward to training some Megan pups in the future.
