Week Ending 25th December
Monday 19th
Not much to report from today's BAGS meeting as we were out of luck and didn't manage a winner.
Tuesday 20th
A good trial session today with all 5 of our dogs performing well.
Big lad, Coolykereen Lee, led all the way to record 29.51, with youngster Express Fantasy not to far behind as she clocked 29.65. Der Lone Razor returned from a lay off to post a good 29.75. It was tough, heavy ground for these pups today and it certainly took it out of them a bit.
Stanton Jerry improved nicely for his trial last week as he managed 16.50 today. Bramley Leah also improved from the previous week with today's 17.58 effort.
Wednesday 21st
Just the one winner tonight as Baby Bubba recorded another victory. He led all the way in quite a decent A2 and stopped the clock at a personal best 29.02. Bubba has been strengthening up and improving all the time lately. He's only just over 2 years old so should make a nice little dog next year.
Thursday 22nd
Still no luck at Hove of late as we could only manage a couple of thirds.
Forest Ted got badly crowded on the first bend after having done the hard part in pacing up well.
Biffo again miss timed the start but ran a blinder in defeat as he finished 3rd.
Penskey Rain was only beaten around 3 lengths in a very hot Ballyregan Bob Memorial race. He would have still needed that run a bit and should be better for the outing although it does look like he needs a bit further nowadays.
Crinkill Jewell ran really well on debut as she finished 3rd in the maiden stayers, She wont be long in winning.
Friday 23rd
A terrific night as we managed 4 from 5 winners.
Glendine Girl won very well in only her second start. She led all the way and stayed on strongly to win by 4 1/2 lengths in 29.52. She looks a nice little pup.
Moody Mare flew the lids and won her A3 in good style by 4 1/2 lengths in 29.43.
Noels Touch ran a very game race as he just got up on the line to win his S2 in 42.55.
Flag Officer completed the nights work as he led all the way in his A2 to win in 29.14. Maverick should improve nicely for that run again.
Over at Romford, Portavoe Lass ran a stunning race on her debut in the 750m race. It was a very good quality open and Esme would have won well with any sort of a run. She looks as though she could make top class next year.
Oneco Light got our only BAGS winner as she just got up on the line to win her A7.
