Week ending 6th March
Monday 28th FebAnother good start to the week with 3 winners.
Effernogue Semie won his A4 nicely in 29.49. Puppy, Active Lark produced a great performance when winning her A2 by 6 1/2 lengths in a personal best 29.18. Springlawn Goofy completed the days work with a 29.39 win in his A3.
Tuesday 1st March
Superstar Lily proved her well being after last weeks poor run when winning her trial well in a good 28.70. Noels Touch was a gallant runner up to her as he pleased with his first trial back since being knocked over.
Wednesday 2nd
A couple of winners tonight. Coolykereen Jig ran a cracking race to lead close home in his A3, recording 29.49. Dance Izzy railed the last bend lovely to win her A3 in 29.60.
Razldazl Dazl and Mercurial Star both performed well in their 2nd races of the year. Dazl finished 2nd and Star 3rd. Both will improve again for the run.
Friday 4th
Kileline Rambler got her first career win as she led all the way to win her A8 in 30.42. Penskey Rain produced a cracking run as he stormed home to win his A2 in a good 29.15. This fella is desperate for the staying trip and will hopefully have a good year ahead of him. Fancy Collar ran a terrific race as he won a good A2 in a personal best 29.20. This pup has been a different dog since we gave him a confidence building solo sprint and is improving all the time.
Saturday 5th
Not too much to report tonight as we didn't manage to find a winner. Mercurial Lady was desperately unlucky in her A2 and she wont be long in winning this grade that's for sure.
Sunday 6th
Today we took a trip to the seaside as we sent 3 runners down to Brighton.
Superstar Lily was the star of the show as she flew the boxes and led every step of the way in a very decent 695m open. She recorded a fastest of the year 41.36 and looked back to her best. Megan will probably return to Brighton next before possibly taking in a competition at Monmore.
Razldazl Dazl ran a blinder as he finished runner up in his sprint open. He took a good bump as he went to challenge off the last bend and would have gone close with a run. Hopefully this will have sharpened him up for the Arc in a week's time!
Stanton Subaru also ran a cracker to finish runner up in her 695m maiden. Her time of 41.85 would win most maidens down there but she has been very unlucky to have come up against Saveourstowlass and Black Paws Down! Subaru will return to Swindon next to have a crack at a small 6 bend graded competition.
