Stanton Jerry got his first win since returning from a ruptured gracilis as he led at the third turn to win in 29.47.
Tuesday 25th
A good trial session for the kennel. Malbay Harry, Lady Destiny and Kileline Rambler were added to the graded strength after their 480m trials.
Mercurial Star (16.15), Razldazl Dazl (16.35) and Superstar Lily (16.49) all returned from their winter breaks with these decent sprints and came back in good shape.
Wednesday 26th
A cracking night with 4 winners from 8 runners. Master Rock got the ball rolling with a last-to-first run in his A8. He won in 30.32.
Backlane Belle got a much deserved win in her A4 as she led around the 2nd turn to win nicely in 29.51.
Noels Touch ran a blinder to recover from first bend crowding to win his A3 in 29.51.
I Certainly May completed the night's work with a trap to line win in her A3. She won in 29.31.
Thursday 27th
Two of our hounds were given spaces in the Cornwall RGT and made their journey down there today. Realt Gael is a beautiful fawn bitch who wont be long in a finding a home. Star as she was known won 8 of her 49 races for the kennel and recorded a personal best 29.30.
Queen Merykara is a lovely white and black bitch who is a real bundle of fun and will make someone a fantastic companion. Kara was a fabulous bitch for us and won 15 of her 52 races. She had a real purple patch between Dec 09 and Jan 2010 where she won 6 of her 8 races including a personal best 28.86 top heat win. They will both be very much missed at the kennels.
Friday 28th
3 winners from today's meetings. Ballyknock Vote won again in A3. After a real duel with Wise Maldini from the third bend he just prevailed to win on the line in a personal best 29.32. It's fair to say that Vote keeps plenty in reserve during his races and it would be interesting to see him really pushed in a better grade now.
Galley Crash flew the lids and led all the way to win a good A2 in 29.21. She led home kennel mate Calling Beauty who ran very well in defeat.
Rusty Lisa led all the way in her A4 to record her first win since being spayed. She won in 29.61 and should improve for the run.
Saturday 29th
Three 2nds was the best we could manage tonight.
Master Rock finished lame with a badly sprained hock and faces a couple of months on the sidelines.
Penskey Rain, Northcamp Ellie and Kileline Ramble all ran well in defeat.
January Dog of the Month
There were a lot of good performers during the month.
Liscrea Premier won 2 of her 3 races recording a personal best 29.12 in the process.
Galley Crash won 2 of her 4 A2 races.
Precious Hawk also won 2 of her 4 A2 races.
Noels Touch made nice progress winning 2 of his 4 A3 races.
Springlawn Goofy improved leaps and bounds during the month rising 2 grades to A2 after winning 3 of his 6 races.
Patriot Lass gets the runners up prize as she rose from A3 to top grade when winning 2 of her 4 races. She also recorded a personal best 28.95.
However the January Dog of the Month award has to go to Northcamp Ellie who won 3 of her 4 A2 races and was 2nd in the other. She has been excellent during the month and has given us all a lot of fun. Plus she was the last winner in our 7 timer which makes her very special indeed!!
