Week ending 16th January
Monday 10thTwo winners and four 2nds to begin the week with.
Cragaknock Flyer finally got her first race win as she ran away to score easily in her A6. She beat kennel mate Cheeseboard by 6 lengths in a personal best 29.52.
Bookies Girls continued her excellent recent form when flashing from the boxes to lead all the way to win her A2 well in 29.14.
Backlane Belle, Drive on Diva and Molly The Second all ran well in defeat.
Wednesday 12th
Another couple of winners from this evenings meeting.
Forest Crash ran a very gutsy race to collar long time leader Balcack on the line to win another A2. Crash has been running really well since returning from a short rest.
Precious Hawk made it two on the spin as she once again led all the way in A2. She beat her fast finishing kennel mate Penskey Rain in 29.14.
Thursday 13th
Another busy day at the kennel as the work on the gallop was completed. Around 250 meters of fencing have been replaced and over 300 bags of shavings have been used to top the surface up. It has taken an awful lot of effort by everyone but the end result is fantastic and its a great facility to have.
Friday 14th
Two winners and seven 2nds from today's meetings.
Churchfield Mate ran a stormer as he came from nowhere to win his S3 in 43.03.
Tyrap Dancer made it two wins from two as he broke well to lead all the way in his A2. He recorded a personal best 28.98 and has improved a bundle in the last month.
Saturday 15th
Calling Light was taken to her new home in the New Forest after being retired when tearing a gracilis muscle in her last race. Bo was a terrific servant for the kennel and won 15 of her 54 races including an A1 which considering she only cost 200 euros was some achievement. She'll have a wonderful retirement.
The first few dogs were put through their paces on the gallop since the work was completed including Superstar Lily, Razldazl Dazl and Mercurial Star who are all returning to training since their winter breaks.
A quiet night with only 6 runners in 4 races but we still came home with 2 winners.
Stanton Bluebell flew the lids and led all the way in her A1 to win in 29.29.
Tommy The Wheel ran the perfect race as he led all the way to win a decent A2 in 29.04. Tommy is still relatively inexperienced and is prone to the odd mistake but when he gets it right he's a very capable hound and I believe there is still more to come from this lad. He should have a good year ahead of him.
