Week ending January 23rd
Monday 17th
A good start to the week with a hat trick of winners.
Ballyknock Vote got to the front in his A3 and kept pulling more out when he needed too to score in 29.55.
Springlawn Goofy flew the lids to record a personal best 29.33 when winning his A3.
Northcamp Ellie rounded the day off with a good win in her A2. She recorded 29.27 and has been in great form.
Tuesday 18th
A busy day at the kennel. 6 were sent to trials at Swindon with Darth Razor (29.29) and Rusty Lisa (29.79) both returning to the graded strength.
17 hounds were put through their paces up the gallop which is in fantastic condition after the work was carried out on it.
Wednesday 19th
A couple of winners from our 6 runners this evening.
Drive On Diva continued her good form with an all the way success in her A5. She recorded a personal best 29.63.
Active Lark got her first race win with an impressive run in her A4. She led all the way and recorded a decent 29.31. She is not 2 until July so there should be plenty of improvement still to come.
Friday 21st
We returned with four winners from today's meetings.
Perhaps the most impressive again was puppy Patriot Lass. She made it 5 wins from her 11 starts as she won her A2 by nearly 5 lengths in a personal best 28.95.
Glenbrack Mary got her first race win as she came from nowhere to win her A6 by half a length in 29.95. She's only a youngster but looks a nice stayer in the making.
Mutter To Razor ran another gutsy race as she led all the way in her S2. She has now won 3 of her 4 six bend starts and tonight recorded a personal best 42.39.
Coolykereen Jig completed the day's work when leading at the third turn to win his A3 nicely in 29.62.
Saturday 22nd
2 winners from our 5 runners tonight.
Moving Merry quickly hit the front to win a decent A2 race in 29.04. Merry has now won 4 of her last 6 starts and it was very pleasing to see her get nearer to her 29.00 seconds run of a while ago.
Northcamp Ellie made it a hat trick of wins when leading nearly all of the way to win a good A2 in 29.35. Ellie has now won 5 of her 13 starts at Swindon and is a cracking little bitch.
Please see a few posts below for the 2010 year review. I hope you all enjoy reading the blog!

Week ending 16th January
Monday 10th
Two winners and four 2nds to begin the week with.
Cragaknock Flyer finally got her first race win as she ran away to score easily in her A6. She beat kennel mate Cheeseboard by 6 lengths in a personal best 29.52.
Bookies Girls continued her excellent recent form when flashing from the boxes to lead all the way to win her A2 well in 29.14.
Backlane Belle, Drive on Diva and Molly The Second all ran well in defeat.
Wednesday 12th
Another couple of winners from this evenings meeting.
Forest Crash ran a very gutsy race to collar long time leader Balcack on the line to win another A2. Crash has been running really well since returning from a short rest.
Precious Hawk made it two on the spin as she once again led all the way in A2. She beat her fast finishing kennel mate Penskey Rain in 29.14.
Thursday 13th
Another busy day at the kennel as the work on the gallop was completed. Around 250 meters of fencing have been replaced and over 300 bags of shavings have been used to top the surface up. It has taken an awful lot of effort by everyone but the end result is fantastic and its a great facility to have.
Friday 14th
Two winners and seven 2nds from today's meetings.
Churchfield Mate ran a stormer as he came from nowhere to win his S3 in 43.03.
Tyrap Dancer made it two wins from two as he broke well to lead all the way in his A2. He recorded a personal best 28.98 and has improved a bundle in the last month.
Saturday 15th
Calling Light was taken to her new home in the New Forest after being retired when tearing a gracilis muscle in her last race. Bo was a terrific servant for the kennel and won 15 of her 54 races including an A1 which considering she only cost 200 euros was some achievement. She'll have a wonderful retirement.
The first few dogs were put through their paces on the gallop since the work was completed including Superstar Lily, Razldazl Dazl and Mercurial Star who are all returning to training since their winter breaks.
A quiet night with only 6 runners in 4 races but we still came home with 2 winners.
Stanton Bluebell flew the lids and led all the way in her A1 to win in 29.29.
Tommy The Wheel ran the perfect race as he led all the way to win a decent A2 in 29.04. Tommy is still relatively inexperienced and is prone to the odd mistake but when he gets it right he's a very capable hound and I believe there is still more to come from this lad. He should have a good year ahead of him.

Week ending 9th January
Monday 3rd
A fantastic start to what would prove to be an unbelievable week.
We began with 6 winners on today's BAGS card.
Drive on Diva got the ball rolling with a gutsy win in her A6 to make it 2 from 2 recently. She led close home to win in 29.88.
Oneco Light tasted success for the first time when showing massive improvement to win her A4 in great style. She was always going to win well after flashing from the traps to lead early. She went on to win in a personal best 29.39 and will continue to improve further. She hopefully has a bright career ahead of her.
Patriot Lass also bolted from the boxes to win her A3 in great style. Although she has been winning lately this is the first time she's had a decent clear run and she improved a bundle to win in a personal best 29.10. It looks like this girl will start and stay and she's a real favourite of mine, she's not 2 until May and can only continue to improve.
Springlawn Jacko got a much deserved win in his A5 as he led close home to win in 30.08.
Galley Crash flew from the lids and ran gamely to hold on close home as she won her a2 in 29.17.
Butchers Bounty completed the days six-timer and a personal four-timer as he led all the way to win his A2 in 29.62. Butch has improved greatly over the last few weeks and has learnt his trade well.
Tuesday 4th
A dreadful day for the kennel as Grayslands Tina suffered what would prove to be a fatal leg injury during her sprint trial. Tina was going nicely into the first bend before disaster struck and she pulled up very lame. It was quickly obvious that it was a serious injury to her hock but we decided along with the vet that it might be possible to save her. She was taken on Wednesday to a specialist in London but the hock was broken in 5 places and there was very little that we could have done to give her a decent quality of life so it was decided that the kindest thing to do would be to put her to sleep. It broke my heart to do it as whip as she was known was a real character and a kennel favourite who deserved so much better than this.
Wednesday 5th
A quiet meeting with 5 runners returned 1 winner and a couple of 2nds. Ballyknock Vote kidded his way to an A3 success while Mutter to Razor and Tictac Butterfly ran with real credit in their races.
Thursday 6th
A busy day at the kennels as work continued on the gallop. We've been topping the surface up all the way, re fencing one side and pulling the remaining weeds up. Around 300 bags of shavings have been put on it and it'll be in great order when the work is completed in a couple of weeks time.
Friday 7th
An amazing day as we broke Monday's record haul by sending out 7 winners at today's BAGS meeting.
Churchfield Mate ran a fantastic race as he stormed home to win his A6 in 30.07.
Boozed Aroma flew from the boxes to beat kennel mate Stanton Jerry in good style, winning in 29.41.
Effernogue Load followed up a good run on Monday to lead all the way in his A3. He won in a decent 29.35 and will continue to improve. Gunner took a nasty fall a few runs back and it just knocked his confidence for a while but this win will have done him the world of good. He's a lovely bend runner who starts and stays and is one to keep on your side in the following weeks.
Precious Hawk ran an impressive race to win her A2 in a personal best 29.16. Hawky is a gutsy little lass who stays the 480m really well.
Litter brothers Springlawn Goofy and Jacko both won today. Goofy won his A4 after leading close home to score in 29.57. Jacko looked a different dog today as he flew the lids to lead all the way in his A4. He won by nearly 7 lengths in a personal best 29.33 and it'll be a while before he sees A4 again.
Northcamp Ellie completed the days 7 timer when recovering from a first bend bump to lead around the fourth bend to win her A2 in 29.73.
We also had a decent night meeting with 2 winners.
Unraced June 09 baby Fancy Collar made it a winning race debut as he lead around the final bend to win his A4 in 29.62. Pingu as he is known flopped from the lids but showed a real turn of foot to the corner and battled on well to win. This is a really nice pup.
Liscrea Premier ran her best race so far to win her A2 in a personal best 29.48.
Saturday 8th
A great end to the week as we returned with 3 winners.
Sounds Classic ran the perfect race as she led all the way to win her A4 in a personal best 29.24.
Stanton Subaru was really on her metal as she flew home off the last bend to win her A2 in a decent 29.06. Subaru is desperate for a few 6 bends races and she'll have to be taken out for a couple of opens if Swindon don't run any S1's soon.
Coolykereen Jig made it a record 19 winners for the week as he led all the way to win his A4 by nearly 6 lengths in 29.33.

Tuesday, 4 January 2011

Week ending 2nd January 2011
Monday 27th
Just the 1 winner today as Tyrap Dancer finally got it right at the boxes to lead nearly all the way in his A2. He won in 29.28 and will hopefully continue to improve if trapping consistently like today.
Backlane Belle ran well when leading all the way bar the line as she just got picked up in her A4.
Wednesday 29th
A good night as we returned with 3 winners. Drive On Diva got her first race win at the 19th attempt when leading all the way in her A7. Hopefully this win will do her confidence some good and she will continue to improve.
Hell Razor scored again tonight when leading all the way in his A2. He held off a strong finish from kennel mate Forest Crash at the line to win in 29.52. This was Razors 13th win of the year and confirmed his run away victory as the Greyhound Scene dog of the year.
Enchanted Cashel rounded the night off when flying from the traps to win his A2 easily in 29.21. Cashel is a real character in the kennel and has been running really well over the last few weeks.
Friday 31st
Not much of a way to end the year as we returned with 4 bridesmaids. Master Rock ran a much improved race as he rattled home in his A8. Northcamp Ellie, Stanton Sarah and Lawless Robin all ran well in defeat.
