2010 - Year Review

January
The year began with a real mixed bag of results. On Jan 1st we had 7 runners, 3 of which won, 2 took very nasty falls on the 1st bend and Gutsy Lass broke a hock. Guts as she was known was a beautiful looking greyhound who looked to have a nice career ahead of her. She was very nervous when we first got her and it took a lot of patience and hard work to get her to trust us but in the end she was a fantastic bitch to handle. She was found a lovely home and is enjoying a great retirement.
Swindon lost a lot of meetings due to the weather as the month turned out to be a fairly quiet one. In all we had 24 winners.
February
A fantastic month for the kennel with 29 graded winners and 3 Open winners.
We had a five-timer on the 8th with Sounds Classic, Twiglish Chav, Beanos Shakira, Stanton Leroy and Moving Merry all successful.
Superstar Lily returned from her cracked fibula with a sizzling 28.67 swindon trial. She later went on to record a tidy 17.04 Henlow sprint before winning both of her Henlow Grand Prix Trial Stakes over the 692m course. Ballinorig Maeve also won at Henlow on the 25th to give us 2 out of 2 winners.
March
Another good month with 24 graded and 4 open winners.
Superstar Lily continued her great form as she reached the semis of the Henlow Grand Prix unbeaten, unfortunately she came in season on the day of the semis and had to be withdrawn. A heartbreaking day for all of us!
The 22nd was a very sad day for the kennel as Bers Rose suffered an horrific front leg injury and had to be put to sleep. Rosie was a wonderful little bitch who won no end of races. She had a cracking bit of early pace and plenty of determination.
Ballinorig Maeve and Stanton Bluebell both won at Hove on the 25th.
Recent intakes Razldazl Dazl (16.50) and Mercurial Star (16.96) pleased in their first trials for us.
April
A good month for open race winners as we managed 5. Darth Razor made it a great start for his new owners The Black Griffin Racing Club as he won his first race for them at Hove. Donie as he is known suffered a chipped bone in his wrist in a later open race at Swindon but thankfully made a full recovery.
Razldazl Dazl impressed in a Wimbledon trial beating the useful Star Gaze by nearly 6 lengths. Dazl later went on to win his debut race in a decent 29.87 at Hove, in the process going just 1 spot outside the sectional track record for the 515m course.
Lady Jaro was in terrific form winning opens at Hove over the 515m and Henlow 460m distances.
Stanton Bluebell was our other open winner of the month, winning nicely over 475m Hove.
The graded dogs were also in great from as we returned 28 winners.
May
Another good month on the whole as we returned with 26 winners. Forest Crash won a 515m open at Hove. Razldazl Dazl gave us out first taste of a sky night as he finished 3rd at Hove. He ran well enough but slightly missed the kick and was always playing catch up after that.
Ballinorig Maeve suffered what would turn out to be a career ending injury at Henlow as she ruptured a gracilis. Every effort was made to get her back to the track but it wasn't going to hold up to racing so she was found a lovely home with Jeff and Bev who may also have a litter out of her which would be fantastic. Tippex was a brilliant bitch for the kennel winning opens at Swindon, Hove and Henlow.
June
A fairly quiet month returned 25 winners. Easy Eight was retired to a good home after cracking a hock. Bambi had given us a lot of fun and won plenty of races including an open at Swindon and numerous A1's. She recorded a best of 28.79 and was a fantastic buy for cheap money.
July
A good month as the dogs were in terrific form. We returned 28 graded winners and 3 open winners. Mercurial Star got his first race win when winning nicely in a 480m Open at Swindon. He led at halfway and won in 29.00. Razldazl Dazl won his open at Oxford when leading all the way to win 26.93. Stanton Jerry won an Open at the first time of asking when winning his 480m maiden at Hall Green. Jezza showed a nice turn of early and put the shoulder in at the bend and went on to win by nearly 9 lengths. It was a fantastic night out and great fun to watch one of the kennel favourites win so well.
August
The graded dogs were in terrific form as we returned with 34 winners.
We managed 2 lots of 5 timers during the month. On the 16th, Sounds Classic, Hell Razor, Grayslands Tina, Boozed Aroma and Tyrap Dancer all scored. And on the 23rd, Reagrove Dream, Lawless Robin, Sounds Classic, Stanton Polly and Puerto Bound made it a cracking day.
Mercurial Star got our Open race winner for the month as he led at the halfway point again to win in 28.85. He followed this up a week later with a facile win in the top heat. He flew the lids to beat a useful field in 28.68.
September
Razldazl Dazl won first time up at Henlow in a trial stake for their Derby. He flew from the boxes and held on at the line to win in 27.76.
Dazl and Mercurial Star were taken up to Belle Vue for a Laurels trial stake. Mercurial led around the second bend and went on to win by just over a length. Dazl was out of luck in his race but still ran with real credit after finding trouble. Neither had any luck when they returned for the first round proper.
Precious Hawk continued her terrific form in September when winning four on the trot, rising from A7 to A2 in the process.
Slaneyside Molly suffered a career ending injury at Swindon as she broke her hock at the 2nd bend. She made a good recovery though and was found a fantastic home.
October
Mercurial Star continued his good form as he won 2 from 4 races this month. He led all way in a Swindon open to win in 28.70 and followed this up with a superb front running performance to win top heat in 28.62.
Superstar Lily made it through to the quarter finals of the St Leger at Wimbledon but suffered a wrist injury and had to be withdrawn. This finished off what proved to be a frustrating year with Megan. She's had a good winter break now though and it's hoped that 2011 proves to be her year.
Razldazl Dazl finished 4th in the Oxfordshire Gold Cup final at Oxford. He took a nasty bump at the first and was never in contention after that.
We managed a 5 timer at Swindon with Sparkemout, Class Eagle, Mercurial Star, Galley Crash and Tommy The Wheel all successful.
We managed a decent 33 in the month.
November
We had a fantastic first week of the month as we returned with a record 16 winners.
Razldazl Dazl won well at Sheffield in an open when showing terrific back straight pace to take up the running. Mercurial Star took a rough ride in his open and finished with a couple of niggles. This was his last race of the year as it was decided to give him a good break before starting him off in the new year.
November was our best month of the year as we managed 45 winners.
December
Butchers Bounty was our star performer this month winning all four of his races.
Stanton Bluebell continued her good form when winning another A1 in 28.84.
The 6th of the month gave us another 5 timer with Stanton Sarah, Precious Hawk, Calling Beauty, I Certainly May and Bookies Girls all winning.
Hell Razor was crowned the Greyhound Scene dog of the year as he ran away with the title in the end. Razor won 13 of his 48 races during 2010 and was placed no less than an incredible 34 times! He's been so consistent and managed to go the whole year without picking up an injury which is a fantastic feat in itself. He was the kennel star for me during 2010 and has been a pleasure to train and an awful lot of fun to watch. I wish I had a kennel full of Razors!

Friday, 24 December 2010

Week Ending 26th December
Monday 20th
A good start to the week with 3 winners.
Churchfield Mate got the ball rolling with a last to first win in his A7. He won in 29.95. Butchers Bounty completed a hat trick of wins when scoring in another A3. He won today in 29.37. Calling Beauty rounded the day off when leading on the run in to win her A2 in 29.24.
Wednesday 22nd
Not much to report from tonight's meeting. Ling, Liscrea Premier and Mutter To Razor all ran well enough when finishing 2nd.
Friday 24th
A couple of winners today. Ballyknock Vote led around the 1st to win his A4 in 29.51. Patriot Lass continued her good progress when winning her A4 in 29.80, she did it all wrong at the boxes but showed plenty of guts to lead close home.
Forest Ted recorded a personal best 29.12 when finishing 3rd in a hot A2. Our youngster was running on the worse of the ground out wide and will hopefully carry on improving next year.
Sunday 26th
Well probably the less I say about this meeting the better! We were due to have 11 runners and 2 trailers but unfortunately the large transit broke down a couple of miles from the kennels. We did manage to get 5 to the track though, Northcamp Ellie, Active Lark and Bookies Girls all finished as runner up.
Week Ending 19th December
Monday 13th
A fairly quiet week started with two winners. Ling got a much deserved win when leading all the way in her A4 to record 29.75.
Motor Home took off in her A2 when leading nearly all the way to record a personal best of 29.03. She's a half sister to Lady Jaro who we've had a lot of fun with and all being well Motor Home will have a good year in 2011.
Noels Touch although beaten in his A3 recorded a personal best 29.37 and is going the right way.
Wednesday 15th
Another couple of winners tonight. Finnure Fuji overcame trouble in running to win her A5 in 29.64. Butchers Bounty continued his good recent form with a 29.53 A3 win.
Friday 17th
Just the one winner from today's meetings. Moving Merry won her A2 in a decent 29.14.
Saturday 18th
Meeting abandoned due to the heavy snow.

Monday, 13 December 2010

Week ending 12th December
Monday 6th
A fantastic day for the kennel with 5 winners. Stanton Sarah got the ball rolling when leading close home to win her A5 in 29.65.
Precious Hawk led around the first turn to win her A2 in 29.20. Hawky had slowly been returning to form and was due this win.
Calling Beauty caught kennel mate Boozed Aroma on the line to win her A2 in 29.30. Beauty has been in great form since returning from being spayed.
I Certainly May led all the way to get a much needed win in her A3. She won in 29.39.
Bookies Girls led around the first turn to win again in 29.22. She has now won 3 of her 4 races since returning from season. She led home Motor Home who ran a stormer to finish 2nd.
Wednesday 8th
A couple of winners tonight. Lawless Robin led at the 4th to win her A3 in 29.38.
Noels Touch continued his excellent recent form to win his A3 in 29.51.
Friday 10th
4 winners for the kennel from today's meetings. Northcamp Ellie won her A2 in a personal best 29.29. Forest Crash scored in another A2. Leading right on the line Crash recorded 29.20. Butchers Bounty led at the 2nd bend to win his A3 nicely in 29.42.
Stanton Subaru recorded a personal best 28.99 when winning her A2 by nearly 7 lengths.
Saturday 11th
2 winners from tonight's meeting. Mutter To Razor led on the line to win her A3 in 29.70. Moving Merry led around the 1st bend to win her A2 nicely in 29.21.

Sunday, 5 December 2010

Week ending 5th December
Monday 29th
A great start to what would prove to be a fantastic week for the kennel.
3 winners and 4 2nds from today's runners.
Galley Crash returned from her Brighton open race to win well in her A2. She led on the run in to win in 29.21.
Noels Touch got a much deserved win in his A4. Noel has been running well of late but has just been missing that slice of luck. Today he picked kennel mate Backlane Belle up on the run in to win in 29.50. He's only a youngster and will make into a nice stayer next year.
Stanton Denis got his first win since returning from a ruptured gracilis. He led all the way to win his A3 in 29.28.
Tuesday 30th
A quieter than expected day at the kennels after trials at both Swindon and Henlow were cancelled due to the weather. We had planned to run several dogs in Opens at Henlow on Sunday but this was also cancelled.
Wednesday 1st
Another 3 winners tonight. Sounds Classic led all the way in her A4 to win in 29.59. Stanton Bluebell continued her excellent recent form when again leading all the way in her A1. She won in a fastest of the night 28.84. Forest Ted completed the night's hat trick when leading close home to win his A2 in 29.27.
Friday 3rd
Another good day with 4 winners. Enchanted Cashel who has been running well of late won his A3 in 29.31. Liscrea Premier continued her recent improvement to record a personal best 29.24 to win her A3. Tictac Butterfly who had been running better than her finishing positions suggested lately led all the way to win her A2 in 29.22. Galley Crash rounded the day off nicely when flying from the traps to lead all the way in her A2. She won in 29.19 and has been in terrific form of late.
Noels Touch is worthy of a mention. He was soon upgraded after his win on Monday but coped very well with it and was a very unlucky loser after getting trouble at the first. He'll win A3 grade well when he gets a clear run.
Saturday 4th
Patriot Lass, noted as one to watch in last weeks blog, duly obliged in her A4. She showed a lot of guts and determination in the race after being constantly crowded by the 4 dog. She's a lovely pup and one to keep on the right side off next time out.
Hell Razor flew from the traps and led all the way in his A2. He won in 29.20 and has now scored in 12 of his 46 races this year. He's a fantastic little dog and now looks set to win the Greyhound Scene Dog of the Year competition.

Sunday, 14 February 2010

Week ending 28th November 2010
Monday 22nd
Well it's taken 9 months for this latest update so I hope it's worth it!
1 winner and 4 seconds from our 6 runners. Moving Merry got a deserved win in her A2 race. She hit the front around the first and never looked like being caught. She won in 29.28 which was a very good run considering she is running through her season.
Wednesday 24th
A good night with another 2 winners. Liscrea Premier made the most of a much needed downgrade to win her A4 by just over a length in 29.51.
Stanton Bluebell returned to Swindon after running a good 2nd in a Hove Open Race to win her A1 in good style. She boomed from the boxes to lead all the way in 28.84. She has been a fantastic bitch for the kennel.
Friday 26th
A busy day yielded 2 winners. Mutter To Razor won her very first race back after being spayed. She led all the way in her A4 to win in 29.60. She'll be returning to 6 bends in the near future. We've had 3 race bitches spayed recently and all have returned to form quickly. It certainly looks the answer for these bitches that are coming into season every 4-5 months.
Bookies Girls made it 2 wins from 2 since returning from her seasonal break. This time she quickly hit the front in her A3 and won by nearly 5 lengths in a personal best 29.15. Brooke has now won 8 of her 20 races, a remarkable record.
Others worthy of special mention are Tommy The Wheel and Lady Jaro. Tommy ran a cracking race to record a personal best of 29.01. He led for much of the race before tiring close home. There's plenty more to come from this fella and he'll be one to keep an eye on. Jaro ran a blinder in her A1. The going on the outside wasn't the best on the night and she'll be winning top grade again soon enough.
Nice youngster Effernogue Load took a very nasty fall in his A2 but thankfully returned none the worse for it. Gunner as he is known has only had 5 races but is already competing in A2 company. He's a young pup with plenty more to come. He'll have a short break before returning to action.
Saturday 27th
Another good night with 2 winners. Penskey Rain made a very promising staying debut with an all the way win in S2. He tired somewhat coming home but this was only to be expected after trialling over the trip just 4 days earlier. He has always looked a natural for the longer trip but it took a fair while to get the dog right and he needed time and patience before being stepped up. His winning time of 41.78 suggests it was well worth the wait.
Razldazl Dazl who had previously only competed in Open class races was given a graded race at Swindon. He flashed from the boxes and had the race won on the run to the first bend. He won by 4 lengths in a fastest of the night 28.70. He's now won races at 5 different venues. Laurence is getting stronger all the time and he'll be going for the Arc at Swindon in March all being well.
Patriot Lass went in the notebook tonight as a very unlucky loser. Lass has only had a few races but has really pleased me with everything she has done so far. She will make into a very nice racer.

Sunday, 7 February 2010

Week ending 14th February 2010
Monday 7th
What a fantastic week this would turn out to be! We managed a total of 13 winners in all as our run of second's finally turned in to winners.
One of our best ever days today as we returned with 5 winners.
Sounds Classic got the ball rolling with her first career win. She led virtually from the start to win her A7 by a length in 29.81.
Twiglish Chav ran a fantastic race to come from 5th to win a decent A2 by a short head in 29.21. He stayed on very strongly to lead a mile at the pick up. He had always looked like a decent prospect and we were fairly excited about him after this run, unfortunately Chav was later to break his hock on Friday night and a return to racing is very much in the balance. A great shame for his owner who has been very patient as the dog was nursed through all his problems since arriving from Oxford. A real blow.
Beanos Shakira got off the mark with her first race win when winning her A4 in good style. She stayed on strongly to win a personal best 29.47.
Stanton Leroy notched up another win as he led all the way in his A3 to score in 29.66.
Moving Merry completed the day's 5 timer when leading all the way in her A2 to win a personal best 29.22.
Wednesday 10th
Another great night with 4 winners from our 6 runners.
Rackethall Kenny, who has been improving with every run, led all the way in his A5 to win by nearly 4 lengths in a personal best 29.69.
Slaneyside Molly pinged the lids and led all the way to win her A4 in 29.72.
Puerto Bound ran a superb race to win a decent A2 in good fashion. She led on the run in to score in a good 29.12 and was a mile clear at the drop.
Stanton Jerry completed the night's work with a trap to line success in the top heat. He never looked like getting beat and also won in 29.12.
Friday 12th
We were made to wait for our 2 winners today but they were certainly worth it!
Ballinorig Maeve, having only her second race in 6 months led every yard of the way to win her A2 in 28.97. It was a fantastic run considering the length of time she has been off and can only improve. She'll be heading to Henlow for a trial in preparation for a 550m race.
Stanton Denis made light of a bang at the first bend to go on and win his A2 by nearly 5 lengths in 29.49.
We also had 5 seconds throughout the day. Strictly Baileys was beaten just a length in his A3. Ling was denied by just a neck after being caught close home in her A3. Hell Razor ran another superb race when leading every where except the line in his A3. Galley Crash was the most unluckiest loser we'll ever have after slipping out of the boxes and being stopped in running no less than 3 times! She only went down in a photo and looks a likely winner next time if treated OK. Forest Crash recorded a personal best 29.21 in only his second race back from injury and ran with real credit. He was unlucky that a decent S1 bitch turned 2nd to him going in to the back straight.
Saturday 13th
Two winners and a second from our 7 runners tonight.
Stanton Buddy flew the boxes and led virtually all the way in his A1 to win in 29.06. His run was eclipsed by Moving Merry though, who ran the perfect race to win her decent A2 contest in good style. Merry pinged the lids and never looked like being beaten, she went on to win in 29.01, which was the fastest of the night. She has improved steadily over recent outings and as only a May 08 puppy looks destined for open class.

Monday, 1 February 2010

Week ending 7th February 2010
Monday 1st
Another week of seconditis with a total of 10 finishing as runner up!
Today's winner was Dance Izzy. She won her A3 in 29.59.
Hell Razor equalled his personal best run of 29.39 but was beaten a nk in his A3.
Wednesday 3rd
A quiet night for us. Parnell Lee returned our best result when finishing 2nd in his A2.
Superstar Lily returned to the track after a 2 month lay off to record a flying 28.67. She led all the way in her trial and beat the Cesarewitch runner up, Melodys Comet, comfortably. Thankfully she returned safe and sound and her broken fibula has held up perfectly. She'll be heading off to Henlow for a trial in preparation for the Grand Prix.
Friday 5th
The dogs in general performed really well today as we returned with 3 winners and 5 seconds.
Princess Ziggy made it 2 wins from 3 since returning from season to win her A4 in 29.66.
Twiglish Whitty returned after a short break to lead all the way in her A3. She won in 29.55.
The run of the day though came from Forest Crash. Having his first run back after a 3 month lay off, Crash hit the front off the 2nd bend and never looked in danger of being beaten. He went on to score by nearly 3 lengths in a personal best 29.35. This lad has only had 5 races in his life and if staying sound will go on to make a nice sort.
Ah Sure Cool, Stanton Denis, Sullane Donie, Puerto Bound and Stanton Buddy all ran well in defeat.
Saturday 6th
June 08 puppy, Galley Crash, ran a blinder to win her A2 in a personal best 29.25. She flew from the boxes and led all the way. There still looks plenty to come from this girl and she's a cracking prospect having only had 5 races.
Stanton Ollie, Bers Rose and Blue Turmoil all finished 2nd. Bers Rose looks very much like a winning in waiting after getting this run under her belt.

Sunday, 24 January 2010

Week ending 31st January 2010
Monday 25th
A couple of winners to start the week off with.
Mutter To Razor got a much deserved A5 win when leading close home to win in a personal best 29.71.
Ling added another A3 win to her collection when scoring in 29.75.
Stanton Ollie ran well but was just caught on the line in his A4. He recorded 29.49.
On a bad note though, Danielles Leah suffered a cracked hock and will face around 3 months off the track.
Tuesday 26th
A fairly busy trial session with 9 dogs going today. Ballinorig Maeve (29.20), Galley Crash(29.74) Stanton Torres (29.70), Strictly Baileys (29.52), Forest Crash (29.58), Twiglish Whitty (29.76) and Bers Rose (29.56) all returned to the racing strength. Ard Flight (17.19) and Realt Gael(17.00) went well enough in their comebacks.
Wednesday 27th
A good night with 2 winners and 3 seconds from our 7 runners.
Moving Merry took off in her A4 to win by nearly 7 lengths in a personal best 29.23.
Queue Pea Are made it a hat trick of wins when easily winning his A2 by nearly 8 lengths. He recorded a personal best 29.23.
Clomantagh Blue, Whateverittakes and Slaneyside Molly were our runners up.
Friday 29th
A couple of winners today. Rackethall Kenny got off the mark with a dead heat win in his A6. He recorded 29.99 and will continue to improve nicely.
Queen Merykara continued her fantastic form when making it back-to-back A1 wins. She again led all the way and won in 28.99.
Saturday 30th
Not much to report from a quiet night for the kennel. Sounds Classic ran a blinder but was just beaten in a photo in her A7. She recorded a personal best 30.14. It will take a good one to beat her in A7 next time out.

***** January Dog of the Month *****
There have been some terrific performers for us in January.
I Certainly May has marched up the grades and won 2 from 4 in Jan.
Queen Merykara has been in awesome form winning 3 of her 5 races during the month. She won A2 in 29.15 before winning two A1's in 28.86 and 28.99.
However, this month's award has to go to Queue Pea Are who won all 3 of his races and went from A5 to A2. He won his A5 in 29.61, moved up to A4 and won well in 29.38 before being shifted up 2 grades to A2. He won this by nearly 8 lengths in a personal best 29.23.

Sunday, 17 January 2010

Week ending 24th January 2010
Monday 18th
A couple of seconds was the best we could manage from today's runners. Mutter To Razor finished runner up in her A5 posting 29.90. She looks a winner in the making when the ground improves. Danielles Leah was again the bridesmaid in her A2, clocking 29.31.
Tuesday 19th
6 were sent to trials today - all for sprints.
Ballinorig Maeve continues to make good progress in her return to racing, clocking 16.66. Forest Crash (16.72), Twiglish Whitty (17.05), Stanton Torres (16.64), Bers Rose (16.75) and Strictly Baileys (16.82) all went nicely and will be stepped up to 4 bends next Tuesday.
Wednesday 20th
Just the one winner tonight. Stanton Buddy who has quickly hit top form after returning from a rest, blasted the lids and won his A2 in good fashion. He posted a decent 29.06.
Thursday 21st
A busy day with a trip to the vets in the morning and the physio coming to the kennels in afternoon. Around 20 dogs were given the once over. It was mostly good news, with a few dogs given the all clear to return to full training.
Thankfully we were able to use the gallop for the first time in a while and we quickly made good use of it with around 15 dogs going through their paces.
Friday 22nd
A fantastic day for the kennel with 5 winners from our 11 runners.
Queue Pea Are got the day off to a great start with a near 6 length win in his A4. Buzz rode a bump around the first bend before quickly drawing clear to win in a personal best 29.38. He's been in cracking form of late.
Slaneyside Molly quickly hit the front in her A5 and never saw another dog as she went on to win by just over 6 lengths in 29.69.
Clomantagh Blue got a much deserved win over the 685m trip when firing from the boxes to lead all the way in her S3. She won in a personal best 42.91.
Queen Merykara continued her fantastic recent form by making all in the A1 to win by over four lengths in a personal best 28.86. Kara has now won 5 of her last 7 races and has come back better than ever from her severe shoulder injury.
Princess Ziggy rounded the day off with her first ever race win. Ziggy did remarkably well to win from the inside of the track and came from a fair way off the pace to do so. She won in 29.81.
Rackethall Kenny made his debut tonight and ran very well. He was crowded all the way up the run up but showed plenty of pace to get in to contention rounding the third bend. He finished 2nd in the end but looks a likely winner next time.
Saturday 23rd
I Certainly May made it 4 wins from 5 starts when leading all the way in her A4. She recorded a personal best 29.53.
Sullane Donie also recorded a personal best of 28.98 but it was still not good enough to win a decent A2. Donie made a lot of ground up of the second bend to chase the winner down to a length at the line.

Sunday, 10 January 2010

Week ending 17th January 2010
Monday 11th
2 winners to start the week off with.
Stanton Polly led all the way in her A3 to win in 29.34.
Puerto Bound ran a blinder and a got a much deserved A2 win. She hit the front approaching the last bend and stayed on strongly to win by nearly 4 lengths in 29.27.
Ah Sure Cool and Clomantagh Blue both ran well to finish 2nd in their races.
Wednesday 13th
Another meeting lost due to the snow.
Friday 15th
Not much to report on today as Whateverittakes provided us with our only winner. He won his A6 in 30.04.
Decent youngster, Galley Crash, suffered a bad fall after being brought down around the 4th bend. Fortunately she has returned none the worse for it but it's never a good thing to happen to a pup in only her 3rd race.
Saturday 16th
A good night with all of the dogs running really well.
Stanton Buddy bounced back to form when leading all the way in his A2. He won in a decent 29.08 and this would have done his confidence the world of good after suffering a bad fall in his last race about a month ago.
I certainly May and Blue Turmoil both ran well to finish 2nd in their races. Blue Turmoil would surely have won his S1 if the ground had been better.

Sunday, 3 January 2010

Week ending 10th January 2010
Monday 4th
A great start to the week with 4 winners and 2 seconds from our 11 runners.
July 08 pup, I Certainly May, made it 3 wins from 3 starts as she made little fuss of a 2 grade hike. May won her A5 in 29.66 and has improved nicely in all her runs. She's already proven terrific value for money.
Queen Merykara made it four wins on the spin when leading all the way in a good quality A2. Kara has done really well since returning from a lengthy lay-off and won today in 29.15.
Stanton Jerry made it 6 wins from his last 8 races when leading off the second bend to win his A1 by a length in 29.30. He really has been running out of his skin of late.
Queue Pea Are got a much deserved win in his A5. He led at the half way point and scored by just over two lengths in 29.61.
Danielles Leah recorded a personal best 29.18 but still found one too good in her A2. She's a decent, consistent sort who's not really got the breaks she deserves yet. She is desperate to be given the red coat.
Stanton Ollie also ran well to finish runner up in his A4.
Tuesday 5th
7 dogs were sent to trials today.
Stanton Buddy was given around 5 weeks off after suffering a terrible fall in his last race, he returned in good fashion to record 29.16.
Twiglish Chav was given a workout after being layed low with a bout of kennel cough and also went well. He recorded 29.12 and should be making his debut for us soon.
Burnpark Amy returned from lameness to record 29.97. Princess Ziggy (29.96) and Sounds Classic (30.43) also qualified.
Wednesday 6th
Meeting Cancelled due to snow.
Friday 8th
Only the afternoon card was completed over the weekend due to the snow. We were out of luck with the winners. Stanton Leroy returned our best result when beaten just a neck in his A2.
Sullane Donie and Reagrove Dream ran well enough to finish third in their races.
I hope you all enjoyed the 2009 review and the 2010 dogs to follow, both appear a couple of posts down.
