Week ending 8th November 2009
Monday 2nd
Just the one winner today. Ah Sure Cool got a much deserved win when scoring in his A5. He won in 29.76.
Wednesday 4th
Slaneyside Molly won her first race tonight in good fashion. She quickly hit the front in her A7 and won in a much improved time of 29.81. Molly is only a baby and will continue to improve.
Youngster, Gutsy Girl, took her two grade hike well when finishing a good second in A3. She's learnt the game well over recent weeks and should make decent grade.
Thursday 5th
A trip to Hove tonight with Stanton Bluebell and Superstar Lily.
Bluebell ran a blinder to finish second in her sprint open. Although soundly beaten by a very impressive winner, bluebell did us proud at odds of 14/1.
Superstar Lily was desperatly unlucky in her 515m open. She trapped well and looked set for a lovely run around the first bend only for the 1 dog to run off at the bend and badly hamper her. She is a bitch with plenty of ability but is just not having the luck in her Opens races at present.
Friday 6th
A very good day with 4 winners.
Ashby Crown won his last race for the kennel when winning his A2 in 29.54. Although Ashby is running out of his skin at the moment, the chance of a very good home for him came up, and at 4 1/2 years of age it was decided to retire him in one piece to enjoy a great retirement. Ashby won lots of races for us and at his best just broke the 29 second barrier at Swindon.
Clomantagh Blue continued her good form with a gutsy performance to win her A6 in 29.84.
Calling Beauty made light work of a 2 grade hike when winning well in A4. She was made to work hard to hit the front tonight but once she did the result was in little doubt. She won in a decent 29.46 and looks a smashing prospect for next year.
Forest Jessie completed the night's hat trick when running a blinder to win her first race. Jessie seemed in an impossible position at the second bend but showed terrific pace down the back and stayed on strongly to win her A3 in 29.56.
Saturday 7th
Enchanted Cashel ran back to form when leading all the way in his A2. He flew from the boxes and never looked in danger of being beaten. He won in 29.25.
Stanton Buddy, Twiglish Whitty and Well Lilly all ran well in defeat.
